CPD – 85 Ways to Complete Your CPD, Pet First Aid is just one

CPD can be completed with 85 different video online courses with ProTrainings.  In the 85 courses, there are courses in first aidhealth & safety, data protection, social care skills, office skills to name a few.   The courses work by registering online or contacting ProTrainings to set up a company dashboard.  Once set up you log in and then start the training.  The course comprises of short videos followed by knowledge review questions and a final test. A recent study has identified that chewing gum could be the cause of an increase in dog poisoning cases.

dog first aidXylitol, the sweetener used in sugar free chewing gum, could be at the root of this.   A new report from the US Wall Street Journal indicates that xylitol could be 100 times more detrimental to our furry friends than Chocolate!

Xylitol causes a sudden release of insulin in dogs; which causes low blood sugar and may lead to eventual seizures, brain damage and liver failure. Continue reading
